"I don’t think you can have huge expectations" - Tom Pidcock's coach happy with his recovery, but refuses pressure to perform in Liège

Tom Pidcock crashed at the Volta a Catalunya less than a month ago, suffering a small leg fracture and knee complications that left him unable to ride or walk properly for nearly two weeks. Despite winning a stage at the Tour of the Alps this week, his coach Kurt Bogaerts is urging expectation control ahead of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, noting the race is 'a completely different level in terms of hardness and length.' Bogaerts, who is part of the Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team project, explained that Pidcock missed the early Ardennes classics due to his injury, with the Tour of the Alps inserted into his schedule as part of his recovery build-up.
