'I told everyone before the race: this is going to be nothing,' laughs Tom Pidcock after German outing

Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) raced Eschborn-Frankfurt on 1 May 2026, his first event after a crash in Catalonia, describing it beforehand as a low-key outing. Despite modest expectations, he finished on the podium alongside German champion Georg Zimmermann, who took the sprint. Pidcock said it was the first race in which he felt like his old self again, and now plans to clear his head ahead of the summer.
