“I would never imagine lifting this trophy” – Francisco Cerundolo on historic HSBC Championships title
Francisco Cerundolo won the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club, defeating former champion Tommy Paul 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-3 in the longest final in Queen's Club history. The 27-year-old Argentine claimed his first ATP 500 title and became the first Argentine champion at Queen's Club, having come back from a set and a break down. Cerundolo also saved three break points in the deciding set before sealing victory on his fifth match point.
