Iconic Grand National winning horse dies as emotional statement issued

Auroras Encore, the 2013 Grand National winner, has died at the age of 23. The horse, trained by Sue Smith and ridden by Ryan Mania, won the race at Aintree as a 66/1 outsider by nine lengths, and remains the longest-priced winner of the Grand National in over 15 years. His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from the racing community.
