IIHF World Championship Germany 2027™ announces Preliminary Round Groups

The IIHF has confirmed the preliminary round groups for the 2027 IIHF World Championship, scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf and Mannheim, Germany, from 14–30 May 2027. Sixteen nations will compete, divided into two groups: Group A in Mannheim features Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, Austria, Slovenia, and Ukraine, while Group B in Düsseldorf includes Canada, USA, Czechia, Slovakia, Denmark, Norway, Kazakhstan, and Hungary. The final four games will be held in Düsseldorf, with Mannheim serving as the host venue for Team Germany's matches.
