Illinois State Athletics Discontinuing Men’s Tennis Program

Illinois State Athletics has announced it will discontinue its men's tennis program, effective at the end of the spring 2026 semester. The decision was announced to players after the team's season concluded on April 24 at the Summit League Championships, with five of the eight roster members being seniors who have already exhausted their eligibility. Head coach Maja Kovacek, who led the ISU women's tennis team to a Missouri Valley Conference championship in 2026, will continue coaching the women's program.
