Olympic gold medallist diver Matty Lee has criticised IOC president Kirsty Coventry's stance against paying athletes at the Olympic Games, calling it 'amateur' and saying he is 'not alone' in his disappointment. Lee's comments come as the IOC reported revenues of $12.4bn between 2021 and 2024, while athletes receive no direct payment for competing. The retired diving champion, who won gold alongside Tom Daley, also opened up about his own financial and emotional struggles since retiring from the sport.
