In Fenway finale, Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. gets ejected on check-swing call
The New York Yankees lost 5-4 in extra innings to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, completing a frustrating series at Fenway Park. Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was ejected in the top of the sixth inning after arguing a strikeout call on a checked swing, disputing that home plate umpire Adam Hamari did not appeal to third base umpire Clint Vondrak. The Yankees were forced to reshuffle their infield, inserting Anthony Volpe at shortstop and shifting José Caballero to second base for the remainder of the game.
