IndyCar Is Heading to Barcelona’s Formula 1 Track in 2027

IndyCar will race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in 2027, marking the series' first European event in over a decade. The race comes after Catalunya lost its permanent Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix slot to the new Madring circuit, with F1 now visiting Barcelona only in even-numbered years. A 10-year deal is in place for the IndyCar event, which will serve as the home race for five-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou.
