IndyCar surpasses 1 million viewers again with Detroit Grand Prix

The 2026 Detroit Grand Prix drew 1.167 million viewers on Fox, a 10% increase from the 2025 race which attracted 1.061 million viewers. Alex Palou won the race, his fourth victory of the year and second Detroit Grand Prix win, with viewership peaking at 1.524 million as he took the checkered flag on May 29, 2026. The street race was in its fourth year back in downtown Detroit, continuing IndyCar's streak of surpassing 1 million viewers following the Indianapolis 500.
