Infantino’s opponents developing new framework for running world football

UEFA, Concacaf, and the Asian Football Confederation are jointly developing a new governance framework for world football, in opposition to FIFA president Gianni Infantino's current system. The move comes after repeated calls for an independent review of FIFA's governance have been ignored by Infantino, who has led the organization for 10 years since replacing Sepp Blatter. The push intensified following the public revelation of Infantino's plan to sell off 21% of the World Cup approximately two weeks ago.
