Inside a hot lap of the Madring with home hero Sainz

Formula 1 journalist Lawrence Barretto joined Williams driver Carlos Sainz for his first laps of the Madring, a newly built street circuit located in Madrid, Spain. The track is set to make its Formula 1 debut later in the 2026 season, replacing the traditional Spanish Grand Prix venue. Sainz, who is Spanish, took on the role of home hero as he guided Barretto around the new circuit.
