Inside Cadillac’s first F1 home race – and the slow, relentless work of a new team

The Miami Grand Prix marked Cadillac's first home race as an F1 team, being only their fourth race overall since joining the grid as the newest constructor since Haas in 2016. Mario Andretti, the 86-year-old 1978 F1 world champion and American motorsport legend, was present at the Miami International Autodrome as the team, led by Indiana businessman Dan Towriss, fielded Valtteri Bottas among its drivers. Although currently running at the back of the grid, Cadillac showed incremental progress through upgrades and debriefs during the race weekend.
