Neal Shipley, who was the low amateur at both the 2024 Masters and U.S. Open, has written a first-person piece detailing his unlikely path to the PGA Tour. The Pittsburgh-area golfer, who was humorously voted 'Best Dad Bod' in his high school yearbook, began playing golf at age 3½ on the day Vijay Singh won the 2004 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. His journey, which included a backup plan of working in finance in New York, eventually led him to compete on the PGA Tour and tee off alongside Tiger Woods.
