Inside the PGA Tour’s Made-For-TV Overhaul

The PGA Tour announced plans to split into two series by 2028, a restructuring initiative spearheaded by a Future Competition Committee chaired by Tiger Woods and guided by PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp. The overhaul, launched in fall 2025, is designed to boost media rights deals by consulting with current and potential broadcast partners including NBC Sports, ESPN, Netflix, Golf Channel, and CBS Sports. Chief commercial officer Dhruv Prasad confirmed that media feedback was the committee's first priority in reimagining professional golf's competitive model.
