Insiders tell me Man City are set to face huge points deduction which will guarantee relegation - and more could come next season - but they won't be sent down to League Two. And that seems fair, writes OLIVER HOLT

Manchester City are set to face a significant points deduction that would effectively guarantee their relegation from the Premier League, according to insiders reported by Daily Mail's Oliver Holt. The Premier League is reportedly pushing for the punishment to be announced before the outcome of City's appeal, which is not expected to be resolved before the end of January. Additional points deductions could follow in the next season, though the club is not expected to be dropped as far as League Two.
