Ireland and Lions rugby great Fergus Slattery dies aged 77
Fergus Slattery, a celebrated Irish rugby player and British & Irish Lions legend, has died at the age of 77. Slattery was a key figure in the famous unbeaten Lions tour to South Africa in 1974, starting all four Test matches during that historic campaign. He is widely regarded as one of Ireland's greatest ever rugby players.
