Isack Hadjar shares frustration with ‘waste of a race’ assessment of British GP
Isack Hadjar finished fifth at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone but expressed frustration over a mid-race aerodynamic issue on his RB22 that caused a sudden drop in pace, calling it a 'waste of a race.' The French driver had outqualified teammate Max Verstappen — marking Verstappen's first-ever qualifying defeat at Silverstone — and ultimately finished ahead of him after Verstappen suffered a near-catastrophic incident at Stowe late in the race. The result was Hadjar's fifth consecutive top-six finish since the Canadian Grand Prix.
