Islam Makhachev Praised by UFC Legend Cain Velasquez

UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev, a longtime teammate of MMA legend Cain Velasquez at American Kickboxing Academy, is set to defend his title at UFC 330 on August 15 against top contender Ian Machado Garry. Makhachev won the welterweight title from Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 and currently rides a 16-fight win streak. A victory over Garry would give Makhachev the UFC's all-time win streak record outright, breaking the tie he currently shares with Anderson Silva.
