Israel Adesanya on 'only fight that makes sense' for Conor McGregor after UFC 329
Conor McGregor suffered a serious knee injury just 69 seconds into his UFC 329 main event against Max Holloway at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, blowing out his right knee on the first kick he threw and losing the fight. McGregor, now 22-7 in MMA, faces surgery that could sideline him for up to a year. Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has suggested that Michael Chandler β not a Holloway trilogy β is the only fight that makes sense for McGregor's return, arguing McGregor owes Chandler a bout after pulling out of their scheduled UFC 303 fight due to a broken pinky toe.
