Israel cancel out Troy Parrott's penalty to hold Ireland to draw

The Republic of Ireland drew 1-1 with Israel in a UEFA Nations League match played on October 4, 2026, at the 4,500-seat TSC Arena in Backa Topola, Serbia, due to operational challenges preventing the game from being hosted in Ireland. Troy Parrott scored a penalty in the 39th minute for his 10th goal in seven competitive internationals, but Dor Peretz equalized two minutes after halftime. Captain Dara O'Shea was absent due to the impending birth of his child, with Jimmy Dunne starting in his place under manager Heimir Hallgrimsson.
