‘It was wrong of me’ – Lando Norris apologises to Franco Colapinto for Azerbaijan post-race comments
Lando Norris has publicly apologised to Franco Colapinto after making critical post-race comments following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, where Colapinto locked up at Turn 1 during a Safety Car restart, triggering a multi-car incident that eliminated both Norris and Alpine's Pierre Gasly. Norris had stated there are 'some drivers that shouldn't be in F1' and suggested Colapinto should be banned, but on Monday he took to Instagram to confirm he had directly messaged Colapinto to apologise. Colapinto was penalised with a 10-second time penalty, converted to a five-place grid drop for the Bahrain Grand Prix, as he did not finish the race.
