It’s becoming clear where the next NHL team will be located

NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly confirmed at the league's European Media Tour that the NHL is moving forward with expansion into Texas, with an announcement expected before the end of 2025 pending approval from the board of governors. The new franchise would be located in either Houston or Austin, becoming the league's 33rd team. It would be the second NHL team in Texas, joining the Dallas Stars, who relocated from Minnesota in 1993.
