It’s double Dutch as Lorena Wiebes wins second stage of Tour de France Femmes

Dutch sprinter Lorena Wiebes claimed her second consecutive stage victory at the 2024 Tour de France Femmes, winning a sprint finish in Geneva at the Quai du Mont-Blanc. She overcame a lone breakaway by teammate Riejanne Markus, who led by over 30 seconds before being caught in the final 500 metres, with Wiebes surging in the last 250 metres to take the win. The victory further extended Wiebes's overall lead in the nine-day race, while her team continues to pursue legal action against the UCI over a Giro disqualification.
