'It's going to be some experience' - Mick Mulvany taking aim at the Royal Ascot cream with his €19,000 bargain buys
Irish trainer Mick Mulvany will make his Royal Ascot debut in the Coventry Stakes on Tuesday, entering two colts — The Scallionator and Arizona Raider — who cost just €19,000 between them (€10,000 and €9,000 respectively). The Navan-based trainer has won three juvenile maidens in Ireland this season with the pair, who will face high-profile rivals including the 1.7 million guinea Confucius and Great Barrier Reef. Arizona Raider is owned by Sean Cahill, who represented Ireland in the 110m hurdles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
