It’s Official: The U.S. Open Is a 3-Week Event
The U.S. Open tennis tournament has effectively become a three-week event, with the USTA successfully expanding its pre-tournament 'Fan Week' since its official launch in 2017. Qualifying rounds now draw large crowds similar to the main draw's first week, with bleachers full and long lines at food and fan activation areas. A star-studded ticketed evening event featured Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi, and John McEnroe competing in front of a crowd of 20,000 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
