'I've been wandering around in a happy daze' - Harry Derham on cloud nine after first Grade 1 win and has Cheltenham and Aintree in his sights
Trainer Harry Derham claimed his first Grade 1 victory when five-year-old Le Frimeur, an 18-1 outsider owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, won the Channor Real Estate Group Novice Hurdle at Punchestown by six and a half lengths, with 11-4 favourite Zanoosh finishing second. Derham described the experience as better than he had ever dreamed, saying he had been 'wandering around in a big, happy daze' for nearly 48 hours after the win. Le Frimeur has since returned to Derham's Lambourn yard for a summer break, with Cheltenham and Aintree festivals among the trainer's future targets.
