Jack Draper ‘in difficult place’ after defeat against Landaluce at Cincinnati Open
Jack Draper, the former world No 4, suffered a 6-3, 7-5 first-round defeat to world No 64 Martín Landaluce at the Cincinnati Open. The British player has been battling a serious arm injury for over 15 months and described himself as being in a difficult place mentally and physically. Draper struggled from the very first game, shanking a forehand and hitting two double faults before falling into a break deficit he never recovered from.
