Jacob Bridgeman leads, Max Homa among pack chasing after first round in Japan

Jacob Bridgeman shot a bogey-free 8-under 63 in the first round of the Baycurrent Classic at Yokohama Country Club in Japan, leading the field after 18 holes. Bridgeman, ranked No. 1 in the world in putting and ranked first in Strokes Gained: Putting in the opening round, was playing his first event back after helping the U.S. Team win the 2026 Presidents Cup. Max Homa is among the group of players chasing Bridgeman heading into the second round.
