Jacob wins top male award at Pickering Memorial Throws International
At the Pickering Memorial Throws International in Loughborough, Scottish athlete Jacob McKinlay set a personal best of 57.80m in the throws, coming within 20cm of the World U20 Standard of 58.00m. His performance earned him the Male Performance of the Day award and £500 from the Ron Pickering Foundation. Several other Scottish athletes also recorded personal bests, including Niamh Pegrum with 40.30m in the Discus and Skye Marshall with 44.13m, her second-furthest throw ever.
