World No. 1 and top seed Jannik Sinner was eliminated from the French Open in a stunning second-round defeat to Juan Manuel Cerundolo, despite leading 6-3, 6-2, 5-1 and serving for the match. Sinner suffered severe cramping and called for a medical timeout, also reporting dizziness and nausea, before losing 15 consecutive points and ultimately falling in five sets.
