Jannik Sinner Withdraws From Shanghai

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from the Rolex Shanghai Masters due to a right knee injury, specifically Iliotibial Band Syndrome, which has kept him sidelined since he successfully defended his Wimbledon title by defeating Alexander Zverev in July 2026. Sinner, the reigning 2024 Shanghai champion, expressed regret in an Instagram statement and promised to return to the tournament the following year. No timetable has been set for his return as he continues to rest and rehabilitate the condition.
