World No 1 Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from the 2025 US Open due to a right knee injury, missing the final Grand Slam of the season. The Italian has not competed since winning Wimbledon, where he defeated Alexander Zverev in the final to claim his fifth Grand Slam title and successfully defend his SW19 crown. Sinner had already missed the Masters 1000 events in Canada and Cincinnati due to the same knee issue and was unable to recover in time for Flushing Meadows.
