Jazz Chisholm Jr. shrugs off Red Sox announcer: ‘I’m not going to remember who he is’
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. became the center of controversy after Red Sox radio broadcaster Will Flemming called him a 'bush league player' who 'plays the game the wrong way' following Chisholm stealing two bases in the bottom of the eighth inning of a 7-1 game on Sunday. Flemming also suggested Boston's pitcher should throw at Yankees catcher Austin Wells, drawing condemnation from several Yankees players. Chisholm, speaking Monday at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, dismissed the criticism, noting the Red Sox were not holding him on first base and pointing to a similar August 2025 game where Boston scored 12 runs in a blowout win.
