JC France wins wild NASCAR Classic race at Le Mans
J.C. France, grandson of NASCAR founder Bill France Sr., won the NASCAR Classic race at Le Mans on July 5, 2026, driving a 2014 NASCAR Cup Chevrolet Camaro with a Garage 56 wrap. France inherited the lead on the final lap when Andrew Jordan, who had been leading in a 2013 Toyota Camry, retired on the Mulsanne straight, while other contenders including Dave Roberts and Kurt Busch also suffered mechanical issues. France then held off Nigel Armstrong in the No. 44 Menards car to take the victory.
