Jenson Button opens up on mental toll of a Formula 1 career
2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button has spoken about the mental demands of competing in F1, noting that over his 18-year career he entered 309 grands prix but won only 15, making losses far more frequent than victories. Speaking on the F1 Beyond The Grid podcast, Button reflected that while former boss Ross Brawn's calm demeanour helped on difficult days, he ultimately had to deal with his own psychological challenges himself. He emphasised that no one else can make a driver better and that confronting personal 'demons' is an individual responsibility.
