Jenson Button realised Lewis Hamilton was 'insecure' when he heard one Ferrari radio message
Former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button has stated that even seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton displays signs of insecurity, pointing to a radio message during the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix where Hamilton asked his engineer Riccardo Adami 'Are you upset with me or something?' after receiving no response to his post-race thanks. Button contextualises this by noting that despite Hamilton's record 105 Grand Prix victories from 384 starts, he has statistically 'lost' 72.7% of his races and failed to win the championship in 12 of his 19 seasons. Hamilton's first season at Ferrari saw him fail to score a podium, which Button suggests contributes to the underlying insecurity common among all F1 drivers.
