New York Jets Chairman Woody Johnson has acquired a stake in the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and will serve as Vice Chairman of the Board, as announced on August 20, 2026. Johnson cited his time as US Ambassador to the United Kingdom as deepening his appreciation for Aston Martin and expressed ambition to help the team compete at the highest level of F1. Johnson also holds an existing stake in Premier League club Crystal Palace, making this his second major sports investment outside of American football.
