Jets ‘waiting to see’ what happens with Hellebuyck, who could return this week

Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck, a Hart Trophy and three-time Vezina Trophy winner, has been suspended since September 16 after failing to report to training camp following a trade request. Sportsnet reported that Hellebuyck has informed the Jets of his intention to return, with his suspension reportedly ending Friday. Coach Scott Arniel stated Monday that the team and players are 'waiting to see' how the situation unfolds, describing the outcome as an 'unknown.'
