Jodie Cunningham and Emily Rudge announce Rugby League retirement

St Helens and England Women internationals Jodie Cunningham and Emily Rudge have announced they will retire from Rugby League at the end of the 2026 season. Cunningham, 34, holds the record for most England Women caps with 34, scored 10 international tries, and captained St Helens to a treble in 2021 and the first women's Challenge Cup victory at Wembley in 2023. Rudge, also 34, made her debut at the 2008 World Cup and became the first England Women player to score four tries in a single match during a 2019 tour of Papua New Guinea.
