Joe Joyce loses comeback fight against Artem Suslenkov in bizarre ending

Joe Joyce, the 40-year-old British heavyweight boxer, lost his comeback fight against undefeated Russian Artem Suslenkov in Moscow in bizarre fashion. The fight ended in the 11th round when Joyce appeared to signal he no longer wanted to continue, stepping backwards and offering little defence. It was Joyce's first bout since losing to Filip Hrgovic in April 2025, with his last victory having come against Kash Ali in March 2024.
