Joel Stransky and Zinzan Brooke unveiled as first inductees to World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2026
Joel Stransky and Zinzan Brooke have been unveiled as the first two inductees into the World Rugby Hall of Fame class of 2026, announced at a dinner in Cape Town on Thursday ahead of the second test of the Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series. Stransky, who played 22 tests for South Africa scoring 240 points, is best remembered for kicking all of South Africa's points in the 1995 Rugby World Cup final, including the decisive extra-time drop goal. Brooke, who earned 58 caps for New Zealand over a 12-year international career, was a 1987 Rugby World Cup winner and is famous for scoring a drop goal in the 1995 semi-final against England.
