Raducanu had dismissed Richardson shortly after that victory, citing a need for someone with more WTA Tour experience, and went through a series of short-term coaching appointments in the years that followed. The pair have reunited ahead of the Strasbourg tournament in May 2026, with former world No 1 John McEnroe publicly endorsing the decision and calling the original split 'nonsensical.'
