John Sterling, longtime New York Yankees play-by-play man, dies at 87

John Sterling, the legendary radio voice of the New York Yankees, died at the age of 87, as announced by WFAN radio on Monday, May 4. Sterling served as the Yankees' play-by-play broadcaster for 36 seasons, calling four World Series championships between 1996 and 2000 alongside partners Michael Kay and Suzyn Waldman.
