Joliestar May Target July Cup, Return to Ascot in 2027

Joliestar, a 5-year-old mare trained by Chris Waller, finished a narrow third in the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 20, losing to winner Almeraq by a combined short head in a three-way battle. Waller indicated Joliestar will likely target the Grade 1 July Cup at Newmarket on July 11 as her next start. The trainer also suggested the mare, owned by Sir Brendan and Lady Jo Lindsay of Cambridge Stud, could return to Royal Ascot for another attempt at the Jubilee in 2027.
