Jon Rahm standoff over as DP World Tour confirms deal with LIV Golf star

Jon Rahm has resolved his dispute with the DP World Tour by agreeing to pay outstanding fines believed to exceed $2.5 million and commit to playing five DP World Tour events this season. The deal, similar to one previously accepted by seven other LIV Golf players including Tyrrell Hatton in February, restores Rahm's eligibility for the 2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland. The Spaniard had previously rejected a similar arrangement and accused the DP World Tour of 'extorting' its players, but ultimately agreed to a slightly modified version requiring five events rather than six.
