Jose 'Rayo' Valenzuela knocked out Edwin De Los Santos at the 2:05 mark of the second round with a counter right hook at the Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, headlining Zuffa Boxing's first card on the Las Vegas Strip outside the Meta Apex. The victory was sweet revenge for Valenzuela, who had previously been stopped by De Los Santos, improving his record to 16-3 with 10 knockouts. The 27-year-old Mexican fighter, a former WBA super lightweight champion, subsequently called out pound-for-pound 140-pound champion Shakur Stevenson.
