Judge misses 3rd straight game as Yankees seek clarity on injury
Yankees captain Aaron Judge missed his third consecutive game on Thursday due to an undisclosed injury near his right rib cage, initially diagnosed as a bone bruise. Judge underwent an MRI on Tuesday, followed by X-rays and a CT scan on Wednesday, with swelling (edema) complicating efforts to reach a definitive diagnosis. Manager Aaron Boone indicated the team was awaiting a final diagnosis from doctors, while Max Schuemann started in right field as a replacement during the Yankees' series finale against the Guardians.
