Justin Fields wanted to join Chiefs to learn from Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid
Justin Fields is beginning the offseason program with the Kansas City Chiefs, his fourth team in four seasons, after being acquired in a trade from the New York Jets, with the Jets covering $7 million of his $10 million contract. Fields stated his motivation for joining was to learn from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid, while Mahomes rehabilitates from ACL and LCL injuries. In his previous season with the Jets, Fields started nine games, completing 62.7% of his passes for 1,259 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception.
