Kamilla Cardoso recorded 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Chicago Sky defeated the expansion Portland Fire 98-83 in the Fire's inaugural WNBA game on Saturday night at Moda Center. Portland's Carla Leite led her team with 18 points, and the Fire managed to rally from a 17-point first-half deficit to tie the game at 70 on a Bridget Carleton 3-pointer with 8:39 remaining, but Chicago ultimately held on. The game marked the WNBA's return to Portland for the first time in 24 years.
